What are RSS feeds?
EURASNET RSS feeds will immediately let you know when we have added new content, providing the latest information straight to your computer, rather than having to visit the website.
RSS stand for 'Really Simple Syndication'.
RSS makes it easy for you to stay up to date with the content you are interested in, whether it is news articles, vacancies at EURASNET, or content for particular audience types, such as the general public, scientists or teachers.
How do I get the RSS feeds?
The first thing you need is a news reader, which is a piece of software that checks the feeds and lets you read any new articles that have been added. Many different versions are available; some can be accessed from your browser, and others are downloadable applications. Microsoft Outlook now supports RSS feeds.
There are different news readers for different operating systems, so you will need to choose one that will work with your computer.
Browser-based news readers allow you to receive your RSS feeds from any computer, while downloadable applications enable you to store them on your main computer.
Once you have a news reader you can subscribe to the EURASNET RSS feeds by clicking the orange RSS button and selecting which feeds you want to receive.
Some browsers, including Firefox, Opera and Safari, automatically check for feeds for you when you visit a website, and display an icon when they find one. This can make subscribing to feeds much easier. For more details on these, please check their websites.
