Transcription: Call for Papers

As the Editor-in-Chief of Transcription, I would like to invite you to submit your manuscripts to this important new journal launched this month and published by Landes Bioscience.

If your work is related to any of the following topics, think of Transcription as a high-quality, peer-reviewed option to reach a wide readership interested in the fascinating field of making RNA from DNA.

Topics of interest include:

  • transcriptional initiation, elongation, and termination
  • promoter structure and function
  • the role of cis-regulatory elements that affect gene function locally and globally
  • the structure, function, and regulation of general and specific transcription factors, RNA polymerases, repressors, and activators
  • connections between RNA processing and upstream events in transcription
  • involvement of small RNAs in transcriptional gene silencing and genome defense
  • interplay between nuclear architecture, genome organisation, and gene expression
  • integration of transcriptional and translational response mechanisms to external stimuli
  • cross-talk between transcription and chromatin.

One of the main assets of our journal is its outstanding Editorial Board that includes 48 of the most prestigious scientists in the field.

You may view and freely download articles from our first issue here.

You can read more about the journal and the submission procedures on the Transcription website.

Finally, attached you will find our Call for Papers announcement as a PDF file. Please feel free to print and/or to distribute it among your colleagues.

Please do not hesitate to contact me personally for any pre-submission enquiries.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Yours,
Alberto R. Kornblihtt
